For my Dad

My Dad turned 65 last Saturday. He was 36 when I was born. He was the first to see me. He is a photographer. I have always wanted to be like him. When it comes to taking photographs he is the reason for my song. This photo was taken by my husband, Peter.

matatahi

Matatahi means 'first star'. Peter and I chose this surname because we are a new beginning, a new tribe, we are a new star. My first blog entry is entitled this also because 'delight' is a beginning. A beginning often comes from somewhere specific. 'Delight' comes from my desire to show you (whoever/whatever you are) what I see. I think more importantly I want to show myself what I see and to begin to process the how and the why of my 'seeing'.
